Yin yoga with the founder, Paulie Zink. The complete art of Yin yoga is a practice for growing the whole body flexible and for developing our innate ability to flow with movement and to awaken the primal spirit that resides within us all.
In the complete art of Yin yoga, specific yoga postures are used to actualize the energetic attributes of various creatures and stimulate the transformational properties of the five alchemical elements. The postures and movements help to enliven and harmonize these qualities within the body. The gaol is to animate the primal spirit that resides within us all. Integrating the power and healing aspects of these energies will help balance emotions and put one into accord with the true nature of our being.
Paulie received intensive private training for ten years as the sole protege of Chinese Taoist yoga and Kung fu Master Cho Chat Ling. A three time international martial arts grand-champion, Paulie is renowned for his fluidity, flexibility and artistry of motion. In order to achieve this degree of mastery, he underwent demanding training and esoteric disciplines which emphasized cultivating the felt awareness and embodiment of one’s intuitive, instinctual, and mystical natures. As a result, he can actualize the power and spontaneity, the flowing movement and wild spirit that are inherent in our awakened primal energy. He has been teaching Yin yoga for over 40 years.
Through his many years of practice and study Paulie continues to evolve his unique style of yoga that is rooted in the ancient Taoist tradition he learned. With his relaxed and playful demeanor, students find him to be a very approachable and enjoyable teacher. He brings to his teaching over 40 years experience and a profound knowledge he conveys with a simple clarity that comes from true understanding.
